ASOCS & Lufthansa Industry Solutions announce collaboration for 5G Positioning
Rosh Haayin, Israel and Norderstedt, Germany – September 2023, ASOCS and Lufthansa Industry Solutions (LHIND) announce that they will jointly conduct a series of Proof of Concepts (PoCs) for 5G Positioning. These PoCs will take place in LHIND’s own facilities as well as those of some of its customers.
The initiative will leverage a dedicated 5G Private Network utilizing ASOCS 5G virtual RAN and Athonet core infrastructure. The project represents a significant step forward in bringing 5G Positioning to market as they will rigorously evaluate the practical application of the ASOCS’ Hermes Next-Gen Positioning service in real operational settings incorporating genuine use cases.
“We, at ASOCS, see this collaboration with LHIND as groundbreaking and key in both the advancement of commercial deployments of Private 5G Networks and in exploring and developing commercial use cases for ASOCS’ AI-driven 5G Positioning Services,” said Mr. Len Schuch, GM 5G Positioning Services. “Working with Lufthansa Industry Solutions will enable us to move 5G Positioning and Location Services from proof of concept to commercial offering across a number of industry verticals.”

ASOCS will be attending a number of events towards the end of 2023 including MWC in Las Vegas and MWorx in Berlin.
